Get rid of the energy drainers.

Recommended Posts

In this video from Motivation District, viewers walk away with tools to help them build their own success. When we are asked to think about our dreams, some of us are able to pinpoint exactly what we want. Of these people, few actually act on these thoughts. Somewhere during our lives, we have convinced ourselves that our dreams are not possible. This is simply not true. While we may experience defeat, loss, failure, and hardship, our dreams are attainable. In order to accomplish our goals, we must continually work towards them, every day. The narrator of this video encourages his audience to envision their dreams and the steps to attain them. The path towards success starts with taking a risk on yourself and your abilities.

There is no reward without risk. While these risks may result in initial failure, these failures help us realize our true potential and power. We are greater than our circumstances and should disavow any victim mentality. It is easy to not act on our ideas and let the opinions of others dilute our fervor. One line from this video that perfectly sums this up is, “someone’s opinion of you does not have to become your reality.” Life is about stretching, challenging, and improving ourselves constantly. Not everyone will join you on this track. Because of this, it is important to cut the energy drainers and naysayers out of our lives. Instead, we should surround ourselves with inspired individuals who operate at the same wavelengths that we do.  Not everyone shares our vision, and that is okay. In order to live our best lives, however, we must put ourselves and our progress first.

The narrator rounds out this video with a discussion on being able to adjust when things don’t go completely to plan.  Despite how hard we work on our craft or towards our goals, the path to success is latent with failure and diversions. In times of adversity, we must use our creativity to think of new solutions and not become easily discouraged. To this, the narrator encourages his viewers to seek out, “adjustment over discouragement.”

For individuals looking to level up, life has a special meaning. This video from Motivation District not only encourages its audience to live out their dreams but also provides insight on the steps they can take to do so. This video can be accessed below.

There is a term for these people. They are called emotional vampires! They actually thrive off other people's hurt and suffering. I had a few in my life growing up and had to cut them out. It was too draining. Like I could feel myself become more and more unhappy just being in their presence!

People that do this tend to need to supplement off other people's joy because they are so unhappy. Like if someone else is not happy around them, they feel better by contrast. Like, just get your own stuff together instead of bringing people down to your slump! Great read! Watching the video now.
