Lana
I heard with trailer homes, like the ones you can buy and plant on a lot, often depreciate in value after purchase. Is this true? Do trailer homes depreciate in value after they are purchased? And if so, how can one bring the worth back up?
James
Yes they do lose value faster because they are not built as well as the other homes. You are still able to fix them up but there are different challenges when working with mobile homes then you will have when working with standard construction. My favorite homes are made of concrete blocks. Extremely durable and hold up well.
Scarlett
An uncle of mine bought one brand new back in like 2006. It was all modern and came with everything (appliances and what not). By the following year, the value of it had dropped by nearly 20% and after the 2008 recession, the value tanked to only be worth 30% of what he paid for it.
