Competitor ripping off product

That's the thing, it's not necessarily ripping off. If this person can produce a product like yours, but is better in another way, or does it better period, then there's not much you can do. Anyway can make something similar to what you make and get away with it, as long as they make it their own and don't copy it exactly. 

That's how the market works. Just look at places like Amazon, Ebay, and so on, and you're bound to find products copied from others. Now, if it was an exact copy, then you have the option to take action. But if it's made differently, they could get away with it.

If no laws are being broken and you do not have a trade mark or anything to protect whatever it is then there is going to be nothing you can do. 

Being spiteful is just wasting money. 

Focus on what you do best and continue to provide the most value to your customers.
