StanleyZEN
When filing taxes every year, you can apply work expenses to your taxes. Say you bought a new PC, Mic, Monitor, and other equipment for work, well that's usually a tax write-off I believe. How much of a tax write-off can you get? Is there a max to how much you can mark under business expenses?
Sophia
I think this depends on the size of your business. In many cases, you get a percentage back of what you spent. Some things you can get the full cost but this is not always the case. I don't have enough experience with this to tell you all the finer details but it is worth investigating more if you believe you can write off some items!
Mila
I found a page on the IRS website that might help: https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/deducting-business-expenses I am very unfamiliar with this as I never had to buy an item that should/could be written off for work purposes. I would love to get a new computer but I can't swing that just for my freelance work. LOL!
