As discussed in many videos from Motivation District, viewers are encouraged to never give up and always get up. During this video, the narrator - award-winning artist and actress, Jennifer Lopez- shares her experiences throughout her journey to fame. Lopez explains how the movie and music business is unforgiving, and despite her success, she has faced rejection countless times. It is so easy to be discouraged after being rejected from an opportunity. While it is important to recognize these feelings, it is equally important to assess whether or not you truly want that opportunity. If the answer is yes, then reevaluate and execute a new plan to attain that goal.

Lopez also explains that not having an extensive education is no reason to stop pursuing her goals. Furthermore, she expresses that her experiences and "street smarts" have set her apart from her counterparts and have shaped who she is today. Lopez describes her journey to recognizing her worth and encourages viewers to do the same. In today’s highly competitive society, it is easy to let imposter syndrome and other self-deprecating feelings seep their way into our minds. More and more we are seeing that the traditional route and academic degrees do not always lead to success or define our worth. With the rise of the digital age, many individuals have found alternative routes to success, such as freelancing, social media, and entrepreneurship. Many people are also challenging and redefining what it means to be successful.

Finally, Lopez discusses the importance of making mistakes. Failure is not defined by the number of mistakes you make, but, rather, by your resiliency in trying again. There is no one right path to success. Even someone who is as successful as Jennifer Lopez has had to do things differently than those around her. While this is true, this does not mean that one person is inherently better than the other.
