Protect your energy.

Recommended Posts

In this video from Motivation District, viewers learn about overcoming adversity to achieve their goals. No matter the situations we find ourselves in, the way that we view ourselves plays an important role into our current standing. If we believe that we are unable to accomplish or do something, then we are holding ourselves back from our potential. While there are somethings that are out of our control and can inhibit our progress, we have control in how we react. This reaction to adversity can propel us forward or further solidify our less than favorable positions.

The narrator suggests listeners to pay attention to and identify the things that our mind convinces us that we are incapable of. Only we can discover and overcome these insecurities. I believe that each of us has a purpose; none of us are useless. It is up to us to figure out our purpose and define the steps we must take to reach this purpose. Because of this, we must focus our energy on things that help us grow and pay little attention to those that do not serve us. Spending your energy on draining things or people leaves our spirits unfilled. Wasteful use of our energy will leave us drained and less able to partake in activities that actually bring us joy. Self-reflection on our actions and who we surround ourselves with is important to protect our energy. This can also inspire us and provide direction in our lives. Protecting our energy provides us with a better understanding of where we should focus it. Protecting our energy requires commitment to ourselves.

For those looking to redefine how to overcome adversity and protect their energy, Motivation District’s video is a must watch. With easy to read captions and compelling images, viewers walk away with the tools to better understand themselves. This video can be accessed below.
