MotivationDistrictYT
“In order to be the best, you have to work the hardest.” In Motivation District’s video, listeners hear from LeBron James, an American professional basketball player. The video compiles many interviews from James to create a cohesive, inspiring video for its audience. James speaks on chasing what seems impossible starts with your work ethic and proper planning. Throughout the video, James talks about his basketball and business ventures, which have many parallels. On the basketball court, James faces adversity every game both on and off the court; however, he states he strives the most when everyone counts him or his team out. This concept of success and grinding out the hard times can be applied to our everyday lives. Some people fold under pressure, but others persevere and become stronger, which all starts with how we talk to ourselves mentally. James also touches on not selling yourself short, but also being critical and honest with yourself. It is important to recognize and celebrate our strengths, but it is even more important to be critical of ourselves to find where we truly can improve. James also touches on the hate he receives from the public. To which, James says, “not everybody is going to like you or what you do.” Everyone faces some level of judgement or unacceptance in their lives, but if you are grounded in your passions and work ethic, there is a chance that you will inspire others to live as fully as yourself. Finally, James touches on the importance of change. We are built to change, adapt, and mature. Without change, we will not be prepared for life. With easy to read captions and compelling images, Motivation District’s video is easily accessible and inspires its listeners to live more fully.
