MotivationDistrictYT
In this video from Motivation District, Elon Musk, world renowned entrepreneur most known for his work with Tesla and SpaceX, talks about the process of starting your own company and what he thinks the meaning of life is. “Creating a company and watching it succeed,” Musk starts, “is like eating glass and staring into the abyss.” When asked to speak on the entrepreneurial process, Musk states that it takes a high level of pain tolerance. In beginning of any entrepreneurial endeavor, it is exciting, and everything seems to be going well. After a couple of months, however, reality starts to set in and things begin to not go as planned. This trouble also has a tendency to compound, making it difficult for many start up companies to continue with their work. To overcome this, Musk simply says, “work hard.” Working at every waking moment and making sacrifices, creates a distance between you and your competitor with little likelihood of them catching up to you. In addition to having a strong work ethic, having strong relationships with your customer base is another way to ensure your business’ success. If your customers, want to see you succeed, it is likely you will. In the event that you do fail, it is okay. There is little stigma surrounding failure; it is inevitable in any process; and you can always learn from it. To mitigate the effects of failure, it is important to build a team around you who share your vision and work ethic to propel the company and its goals forward. This is incredibly important to creating the best possible product for your customer base. With easy to follow captions and compelling images, Motivation District’s video provides the tools and insights to starting and succeeding your entrepreneurial journey.
