If you have a dream, protect it.

In another inspiring video, Motivation District tackles how to accomplish our dreams, believing in ourselves, and overcoming hardships. This video’s narrator touches on the concept of protecting our dreams and giving them everything to make it happen. If we do not protect and tenaciously pursue our dreams, they will slowly slip away from us, disappearing until we are on our deathbeds. To make sure we protect these dreams, we must learn to respect and appreciate ourselves and be strong enough to cut out anyone in our lives who disrespect our dreams. Whether it is our family, friends, or colleagues, their toxicity will kill our dreams. We only have one life, and with every passing minute, our batteries are closer to dying than we realize.
Our success in pursuing our dreams truly boil down to how much we want it. It is easy to dream and come plan out goals, but quickly dismantle ourselves with excuses and self doubt. Whether going through financial hardship, periods of self doubt, lack of connections, or lack of time, we must be willing to risk everything in order to attain our dream. Once we start believing in our dream and our capabilities, that is the time to go all in and put in all the work.

The narrator also speaks on overcoming obstacles. “The happiest and most successful people in the world,” the narrator begins, “take their hardships and flip around for their benefit.” If we find ourselves in the same situation (which we hate) day in and day out, it is time to change our mindset and start devising a plan to become better. It may be helpful to acknowledge our past and/or present struggles, saying “this was who I am, but I am no longer.” Through this constant practice, we become better at finding opportunities in our struggles and overcoming our hardships. Through discipline and practice, we can start to shift out of this victimized mindset and elevate our consciousness.

With easy to read captions and compelling images, Motivation District provides a great video chock full of tools to better understand how to elevate our mindset.
