Brenden
Is anyone here a child of divorce? My parents got divorced when I was like 12 or so. It was rough on me and my sister and brother, but we got through it. It was awkward at first, but once things got back to normal, it didn't feel all that different. I didn't see my dad as much as I would have hoped to, but that's the nature of divorce sometimes. We made up for it once I turned 18 though, and we hang out often to this day. 🙂
James
My mom divorced when I was really young (3 years old). So I do not remember any of that. The guy she remarried was a great a Dad and since that is all I remember that is all that matters to me. I did have many friends when I was growing up and they had parents going through divorce and it always seemed messy and for some reason the kids typically felt like it was there fault. That can not be healthy for the mind. I worry about the children in divorced families today as having a strong family unit is so important to overall wellbeing. Ella
I was young when my parents divorced. Maybe 5 or 6. I don't remember the exact year or age I was. My parents ended up remaining 10 years later and have been together since. I guess they got a divorce because my father felt he could not be faithful to my mom anymore. She was too focused on us kids to even consider dating. My dad dated a few women who turned out to be crazy, his words not mine lol and so yeah, they did end up back together. Can't say that it is common for people!
