  1. Yup know plenty of people like this, people who rebelled against their parents in High school and now blame them for everything, when all the parents ever wanted was to see their child succeed

  2. A lot of people do this today. I noticed it getting worse and worse. I think this is down to how people are raised. If they are raised by people who instill this kind of mindset in them, they will bring it into adulthood and struggle with it.

  3. State taxes are fine. I think on a state level, we should be taxed because it supports out local police, public schools, repair of public spaces, and so on. I am full against federal taxation though. I feel like that is robbery at this point. Every since the federal reserve got involved in, what was it? 1913? Things have just gotten worse and worse with money.

  4. You can find someone on almost every site these days who does this. I feel like it is easier to do it online thanks to virtue signaling and playing whatever card you have to get attention. It is sad people do this stuff!

  5. I know several people who do this online and a few in my family as well. I don't know why people get into this mindset but it is hard to shake them from it. I think self-value and having a purpose needs to come into play but they need to want that for themselves.

  6. I have a friend who is buying her first home with her husband. Her mother and father are not in good financial standing. They have been on the brink of losing their second home for a few years now, they lost their first back in 2009. She is pressuring her already to let them move in when she and her husband buy a house. As if she owes them that. They are planning on having a family of their own and want their own space but she doesn't want to hear that. She has two other brothers, both of which are not married and have no children yet she is putting this all on her. Her husband already said it isn't happening. How can she get her mother off her back about this? She is too afraid to buy a larger house because she doesn't want her mother to guilt trip her into moving in. Her and her husband have been living with his parents and just want their own space. She had never lived on her own before without someone's parents being involved.

  7. Is this down to the school systems? The police and fire departments? I can't quite figure it out. I see some places that have such low taxes for a lot of property and others that have double the cost for a small percentage of the land.

  8. A fetish is a sexual disorder that many people deal with across the world, and if you have one, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. In medical terms, it is referred to as paraphilia, an intense sexual interest in atypical situations and objects. Moreover, it’s quite common that most people who enjoy having sex have some fetish. However, there is a massive difference between people who like to use objects to enhance their sexual experience and those who can’t get aroused without certain materials. If you belong to the latter category, then maybe it is time to reassess your situation. Sexual fetishes can lead to a slew of things, including lack of libido, depression, breakups, and even sexual violence, thereby wrecking your life. This is why you should acknowledge it and take steps to overcome it. Here are a few tips that you can follow to overcome a fetish. #1 Access the severity of the fetish: as I mentioned before, it is a very common thing. Many couples engage in sexual fetishes to add spice to their sex life by having sex in unconventional manners by being tied, gagged, or blindfolded. That said, if it involves too much aggression, then it’s time to assess the extent of the fetish. Also, you should never ask your partner to engage in activities that they are not comfortable with. #2 Consider sex therapy: now, I know that it sounds like overkill, but trust me, it is one of the most effective ways of overcoming a fetish. A therapist specializing in paraphilia can ensure a non-judgmental and knowledgeable approach to psychotherapy. They will teach you mindfulness and other techniques that will help you overcome the fetish. So, don’t shy away from consulting a sex therapist. #3 Don’t objectify your partner: the love between you and your partner is stronger than any sexual fetish. Hence, you should focus on making love to them instead of objectifying them and indulging in fetishes to fulfill your sexual fantasies. If you truly love your partner, the relationship should work without the involvement of weird activities in bed. #4 Lower porn consumption: one of the main reasons that give rise to fetishes is that people want to mimic the stuff they see in porn. So, if you are among them, I highly recommend lowering porn consumption. Understand that porn has no connection to reality; whatever fetishes and weird fantasies you see in porn are performed by professional actors. Have you had to overcome a fetish? What steps did you take to correct it?

  9. I know someone who does this all the time. Anytime things don't go her way, she puts it on herself and acts like she is the victim in every situation as if her own life choices were not her responsibility. It is annoying but I do want to help her see what she is doing and work past it. Is there a way to do this without her getting angry or upset with me?

  10. Lately I have felt kind of on edge with everything. I feel anxious and worried. Things dealing with vaccination mandates, my parents having health issues and money issues, my cat getting sick... I am just trying to relax more. I read that exercise can reduce anxiety. Which exercise is best for this?

  11. I feel like it is split among people my age. Most people younger than me don't have any use for it and usually people about 5+ years older than me still mostly use it. I know my parents can't be without it but my friend's parents who are a good 15 years younger don't have it anymore and just use Hulu and Netflix.

  12. If you are looking into buying a foreclosed house be it for personal living or as an investment, what are some things you can do to ensure you win the bid on the house? I know these can get messy but I am wondering if there are any tricks to ensuring you get the house.

  13. My father is very much into politics and when people bring up this topic, he says everyone is worrying about the wall at the Mexican boarder. They need to just build a wall around New York, California, and Oregon and a lot of the problems in the US was seize to exist. LOL

  14. So anything that gets the body moving and the mind slowing down? I guess that makes sense. Thanks for your replies everyone. I am going to work on this more. Try and get things under control in the next month through exercise and better eating. See how I feel.

  15. Aren't there people you can hire to handle this for you and manage your stocks? I would imagine they are not cheap but if you have the money and want to ensure you see gains in the market, it sounds like a smart thing to do.

  16. Wait! You can do this when you are buying a house? I would have never thought to try this! How does someone go about doing this in hopes to get someone to accept your offer?

  17. It is so simple but so many people do not want this. They don't want to hear it and they will call you every name under the sun just to avoid taking accountability with their lives and actions. It is sad. I am glad you are raising your children to not be in this mindset. Such a small thing but parents who do this are doing the future a HUGE favor. We need more critical thinkers and less emotionally unstable people.

  18. When the value of the dollar goes down limited asset values go up. Likely why the market seems to just go up and up and up. Is it really going up or is the value of the dollar going down? We were talking about this with my oldest having her first job and my wife and I were relating back to our first jobs. I had wages from $5.15 per hour to $18 an hour by time I was 18. My daughter just got her first job and is at $13.50 an hour which is over twice the amount my first job paid. All the while though cost of living is much higher then it was when I had my first job. So are people making more money then they did before or is it the same?

  19. You know what I thought would be a good idea for awhile now? Renting out fitness equipment. It makes sense for people who are looking to lose weight but don't want to spend all that money. Why pay $800 for a treadmill when you can rent one for like $50 a month? I don't know how this would function but I know a lot of people would make use of it.

  23. I think there should only be income tax. I feel like export/import tax is unnecessary because whoever is importing items is going to sell it and then can be taxed on that income instead. Having only income tax would also simplify things a lot for people. Just pay a certain percentage of your income.

  27. I found a house that is listed as a short sale. It is valued at 90k over the listing price. Does this mean that the house could sell for this much cheaper or is it very unlikely? A friend of mine and her husband are going to look at a house tomorrow that is listed as a short sale for the above discount. He is convinced that he could actually make money by buying it and they live in it for a bit and then sell it again. I am just not sure how this process works. Everything I heard says you should avoid short sales.

  28. That is actually a good question and not something I would have ever thought to ask. I know my husband has stocks (and maybe bonds) so I will ask him if he knows anything about this. I feel like your investments would just increase in value rather than lose value because they stay steady on the books. I could be wrong though.

  29. I was going to mention this. Oregon is another one doing their own thing and ignoring everyone else. I think other states should do the same though. If they want to ruin their lives by allowing this stuff where they live, that is their choice!

  30. I agree with this. This is a good first step. Figure out your financial needs and make sure you are in a position to always have extra money left over. You do not want to live paycheck to paycheck while paying off a house. You end up getting pressured to sign up for more and more credit cards.

  31. When I was living in my first place which was a small apartment, there was all sorts of noise. There were people down the hall who would always have parties. The hall stunk like weed and booze every weekend. Some of us complained but nothing was ever done about it. I do not miss that!

  34. I make use of it from time to time but I tend to have too much going on to care honestly. I can't tell you how many shows I stopped watching over the years because I lost interest in sitting through commercials or setting my schedule up to ensure I was home to watch them.

  35. Just track all of your spending now. Write down your debts and bills. Just make sure that each month, you always have at least $500 to spare so no matter what comes your way, you will have extra income already and be ahead of the issue. When you don't need it, just put it into savings or a separate bank account you only use for emergencies.

  36. I think we have already seen this. Look at places like New York and California. They are not listening to the government. They are doing whatever they please. California is allowing people who aren't even citizens to vote! And in New York, they said that if you aren't vaccinated for any reason, you are not welcomed in the state.

  37. You are right. I think that is where I struggle. Like I can be passionate about something one day and feel like giving up the next. That is where I run into issues. I am working on it though. I know perfection is just not attainable in real life and I need to accept that.

  39. Any real liberal I know is considered far right LOL I don't like to get into politics too deep though. I think if people just put their differences a aside and started telling the government to do one, we'd all be back to normal by now.

  40. I winder what real liberals think of all this non-sense. They probably don't speak out because they don't want to be targeted. I can't blame them but things have gotten out of hand and it is hurting children severely. I hope more people stand up against these ridiculous mandates.

  41. You have to really be careful with this cause your side-hustle can get reported to your employer and they can fire you before you have a chance to establish anything. You end up in a lose-lose situation which is hard to bounce back from.

  43. Why would anyone want to live there? LOL I heard that they tax the crap out of everything and there are so many homeless people they are pooing in the streets. It sounds like it is only worth living there if you are super rich otherwise you get taxed to death and end up poor, if not homeless.

  44. I had a friend who went through this. She would say things like "I wish he would just break up with me for a few weeks so I can sleep with ___!". I couldn't believe she was talking about her boyfriend like that. She wanted to sleep with his friend though. I haven't talked to them in a while and they are still together. They have been together since she was 17 and she is now going to be 28 soon so over 10 years. I can't imagine this was the only time she had an emotional affair either. I have to wonder if this is more common with women.

  47. There was someone who worked for the internet provider I use that came by the house to fix something for me a few years back. He mentioned he does stuff dealing with the computers on the side. I recently ran into him at the store and he is working by himself now and earns more than he did working for the internet company. It is possible! Just be careful if you are using someone else's business to front your own.

  48. What do you mean it is designed this way? Like it actually functions to divide people and ensure they only see the same kind of content that works with their own views on things? I mean we see this in the news. A lot of news outlets are very politically biased thought I can only think of two that are on the right, the rest seem to be on the left.

  50. If the government is not giving anything to you back (Such as free healthcare), what exactly are you paying taxes for? Some European countries pay high taxes but basically have no cost other than their rent and personal expenses. Whereas countries like America charge high taxes on individuals, let large companies avoid taxes, and still charge exorbitant amounts for health care
